Mary Wakelin - Contemplative Prayer
Contemplation is the art of praying profound attention to what is. The non-contemplative mind is scattered, fragmented and lost in imagination, as it searches for peace and secuirty amidst myriad thoughts. Mary has been drawn to Contemplative prayer since she was a child. In 2000 she helped found and continues to help lead a contemplative (silent) prayer group where she lives in Blakeney, North Norfolk and attempts to sustain her own daily practice.
